Places We Send Our Friends to Eat – EUROPE (With or Without Kiddos)
We’ve been eating our way around the globe and compiled quite a list of super crave-able, and seemingly random, places. Seriously some of them I dream of flying back just to eat there. I am a person that feels if I’m going to pay the money and consume the calories, it better be worth it!
Most of these are kid friendly but we’ve included a few that you’ll want to enjoy without the interruptions which we’ve indicated.

SPAIN
In Spain we learned all about waiting too long to look for food and not allocating for how long it would take to come. We burned through all our snack food in the first week and ended up scrambling for food that came a little more “American style” aka fast and filling. Not to say the food in Spain isn’t amazing, it was just tricky for us with the kids and the amount of site seeing we were doing. Being on the go constantly without our protein bars and little nut snack packs (why didn’t I bring more?) wore on us after a few weeks.
We found these amazing alternatives to Tapas that I would go back to in a heartbeat!
Milk Bar & Bistro. We went for dinner and then came back the next morning for breakfast. This place is small, hard to find, but totally worth it! The ramen noodle burger - a burger with ramen noodles for a bun - was yummy and fun. I couldn't help try the fajitas and margarita even though I'm sure I should've been doing tapas and sangria in Spain. But it was good!
Italy
Vittoria, Ristoriante Pizzeria.
We ate here twice in Venice. Once inside the Ristorante and once seated alongside the canal. Both were good, but if you can sit along the canal – do it! So fun to watch all the activity, drink a beer with good pizza and a good salad. This was located across from the train station and conveniently close to our hotel. You can find them HERE.
